DevOps / Cloud Engineer

Own the infrastructure that client products run on: AWS and Azure environments, Kubernetes clusters, Terraform modules, and the CI/CD pipelines every squad ships through.

LahoreFull-timePKR 400k to 700k / month
About the Role

What you'd be doing here

RNDSOL runs infrastructure for a dozen client products plus our own, spread across AWS and Azure. We're hiring a DevOps engineer to own that estate: the Terraform that defines it, the Kubernetes clusters that run it, and the pipelines that deploy to it. You'll be the second dedicated infrastructure hire, so there's real ownership here rather than a narrow lane.

The work splits roughly in half. One half is platform: improving our Terraform modules, hardening cluster security, tightening cost controls, and making the golden path so smooth that product engineers rarely need to think about infrastructure. The other half is project work: standing up environments for new client engagements, designing deployment architecture with the delivery team, and occasionally sitting in a client call to walk their team through what we built.

This role is based in our Lahore office because a lot of the collaboration happens at whiteboards with delivery leads and client architects. We keep hours sane and overlap windows predictable.

Responsibilities

What you'll own

Design, provision, and maintain AWS and Azure environments with Terraform, keeping everything in code.

Operate and upgrade Kubernetes clusters, including networking, autoscaling, and workload security.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions that every squad deploys through.

Implement monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation, and tune it so alerts mean something.

Drive cloud cost visibility and optimization across client and internal accounts.

Manage secrets, IAM policies, and access controls with least privilege as the default.

Run incident response for infrastructure issues and write blameless postmortems.

Document runbooks and mentor product engineers on infrastructure basics.

Requirements

What we're looking for

4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles with production responsibility.

Strong Terraform experience: writing modules, managing state, and reviewing infrastructure changes.

Hands-on Kubernetes administration in production, not just local experimentation.

Deep familiarity with at least one of AWS or Azure, and willingness to work across both.

Solid Linux fundamentals and scripting ability in Bash or Python.

Experience building CI/CD pipelines and improving deployment safety and speed.

Nice to Haves

Bonus points, not blockers

If some of these describe you, mention it. If none do, apply anyway.

AWS or Azure certification at the associate level or above.

Experience with service meshes, ArgoCD, or GitOps workflows.

Background in compliance-driven environments such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure.

02

Technical interview

A conversation with senior engineers about systems you have built, decisions you made, and trade-offs you would make differently. No trick puzzles.

03

Practical exercise

A small, time-boxed task close to real project work, reviewed together like a normal code review. We evaluate how you think, communicate, and take feedback.

04

Culture conversation & offer

A final discussion with a delivery lead about how you like to work, followed by a clear written offer. The whole process typically takes two to three weeks.
