QA Automation Engineer
Build and own the automated test suites that gate every release. You'll write Playwright tests, wire them into CI, and shape how quality works across squads rather than checking boxes at the end.
What you'd be doing here
Quality at RNDSOL isn't a phase at the end of a sprint; it's a pipeline stage on every merge. We're hiring a QA automation engineer to build and own the test suites that make that true: end-to-end coverage in Playwright, API test layers, and the CI integration that keeps a broken build from ever reaching a client environment.
You'll be embedded in delivery squads rather than sitting in a separate QA department. That means you'll join sprint planning, flag risky changes before they're written, pair with developers on testability, and decide together what deserves an automated check versus an exploratory session. When a release goes out, your name is on the confidence behind it.
This role suits someone who codes. Our test suites are TypeScript projects with code review, refactoring, and shared utilities, held to the same standard as the applications they test.
What you'll own
Design and maintain end-to-end test suites in Playwright for web applications across multiple client projects.
Build API-level test coverage for critical backend flows and integrations.
Integrate test suites into GitHub Actions so failures block merges with clear, actionable reports.
Hunt down and eliminate flaky tests; a suite nobody trusts is worse than no suite.
Plan and run exploratory testing sessions for new features and high-risk changes.
Define test strategy with delivery leads: what gets automated, what gets checked manually, and why.
Reproduce, document, and triage bugs with enough detail that fixes are quick.
Coach developers on writing testable code and meaningful component tests.
What we're looking for
2+ years in QA automation with real coding responsibility, ideally in TypeScript or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or a comparable browser automation framework.
Experience testing REST APIs directly, not only through the UI.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how test stages fit into them.
An instinct for edge cases and a habit of asking what happens when things go wrong.
Clear bug reports and test documentation in written English.
Bonus points, not blockers
If some of these describe you, mention it. If none do, apply anyway.
Experience with performance or load testing tools such as k6.
Familiarity with accessibility testing and WCAG basics.
Exposure to mobile testing with Appium or device farms.
ISTQB certification or equivalent formal QA training.
Tools you'll work with

We designed the process to respect your time and show you ours: every step mirrors how we actually work.
Application review
Apply through the form on this page. We read every application ourselves and reply within a week, including when the answer is no.
Technical interview
A conversation with senior engineers about systems you have built, decisions you made, and trade-offs you would make differently. No trick puzzles.
Practical exercise
A small, time-boxed task close to real project work, reviewed together like a normal code review. We evaluate how you think, communicate, and take feedback.
Culture conversation & offer
A final discussion with a delivery lead about how you like to work, followed by a clear written offer. The whole process typically takes two to three weeks.
